Medical Students

Medical Students with an interest in ENT are encouraged to get involved in the SWLA and welcome to attend meetings.  They are also encouraged to contribute to poster and oral presentations sessions.

The SWLA offers a number of prizes and awards aimed at Medical Students (see below).  Prizes and awards gained at medical school now count towards Higher Surgical training appointments, so this may be important!

The Association has also supported students on ENT related medical electives in the past and would welcome any applications for funding.

Annual memebership is £10; this includes registration for both meetings.

Norah Guy Medical Student Prize

The Norah Guy prize of £100 and the SWLA undergraduate medal is awarded annually to one senior medical student. Applications will be considered from year 3, 4 or 5 students at Southampton, Peninsula, Bristol, or Cardiff Medical Schools.
